Lady Rams Softball Lets One Slip Away; Fall To Morgan State 6-3

WINSTON-SALEM, NC - The Morgan State University Lady Bears scored two runs in the top of the sixth and two runs in the top of the seventh innings on Saturday afternoon at Southpark Field as WSSU fell in defeat 6-3 in the second game of a MEAC softball doubleheader.

 

After three innings of play the contest would be deadlocked at 2-2 until Morgan State broke the game open in the final two innings as they scored four runs in the final two frames of play as they earned the 6-3 victory, their third win of 2008.

 

WSSU's Desiree Ramireez took the loss as she allowed 14 hits and surrendered six runs, all earned, en route to falling to 0-2 on the season.

 


 

 

The loss drops the Lady Rams to 1-3 on the season while the Lady Bears improve to 3-1 overall with the win.

 

WSSU returns to action on Feb. 22 at 2:00 pm as they play host to the Lady Tigers of St. Paul's College in a college softball doubleheader at Southpark Field.
