Winston-Salem, NC - The Winston-Salem State University Lady Rams fell in defeat to Lock Haven University for the second time in as many games as they dropped a 20-0 decision in the second game of a doubleheader on Saturday afternoon at Southpark Field to drop to 0-6 on the season.
The Lady Rams tallied only two hits in the contest and would be blanked on the afternoon for the second consecutive game as they watched Lock Haven record runs in every inning, tallying four runs in the first inning, one run in the second inning, four runs in the third inning six runs in the fourth inning, and five runs in the fifth inning en route to easily handing WSSU a 20-0 loss.
Toyia Vaughn and Louise Ellis were the only two Lady Rams to record hits in the game as they recorded one each. Both Vaughn and Ellis recorded hits in the first game of the doubleheader as well as they would be the only two Lady Rams to earn hits on the afternoon.
WSSU's Shannon Davis was saddled with the loss in the game as she falls to 0-1 on the season.
WSSU falls to 0-6 on the season with the loss while Lock Haven improves to 4-0 in 2005.
