In the nightcap, the Camels led 1-0 after four and a half innings of play before the CU offense pushed six runs across in the bottom of the fifth. Michael, Littlejohn, Love and Leathers all drove in runs for the Camels in the inning.
In the sixth with two runners on base, Littlejohn batted a hit up the middle to score Hinton from third to give the Camels an 8-0 win in six innings.

Sophomore pitcher Brittany Stanley tossed six innings of shutout softball, holding the Rams to only two hits with a career-high 11 strikeouts and only two walks, moving her mark to 6-1 on the season. Ashley Boswell, a sophomore in the circle for WSSU, gave up eight runs, all earned, scattering 11 hits in five innings of work, striking out and walking two batters in the loss.
The loss drops the Lady Rams to 5-5 overall while
WSSU returns to action on Friday, Feb. 29 at 2:00 pm as they face the University of Maryland-Eastern Shore in first round action from the North Carolina A&T State University Lady Aggies Softball Classic.
