WSSU starting pitcher Ashley Boswell would be saddled with the loss as she turned in only two innings of work allowing only two hits yet giving up six runs as she fell to 2-2 on the season. Only two of the six runs Boswell surrendered would be earned runs as the Delta Devilettes benefitted from a trio of WSSU errors.
Desiree Ramirez replaced Bowell in the top of the third inning and closed out the game for WSSU as she scattered six hits and allowed only two runs as she turned in another solid showing.

The Lady Rams would score four runs on seven hits in the contest as seven different WSSU players would record hits in the game.
Ramirez helped her own cause as she led the Lady Rams with a pair of runs batted in as a single in the bottom of the third inning scored a pair of WSSU baserunners and earned Ramirez her eighth and ninth RBI's of the season.
The loss drops the Lady Rams to 6-6 overall while MVSU improves to 9-7 on the season with the victory.
WSSU returns to action at 3:00 pm when they face the Aggies of North Carolina A&T State University with a berth in Sunday's Championship game on the line.
