GREENSBORO, NC - The Lady Rams (2-11) took their second loss in a row to their local rivals falling to the North Carolina A&T Lady Aggies (7-7), 10-2 on Sunday afternoon. The scattered four hits in the contest, but was not able get more than two runs across the plate in the five-inning loss, the team's second straight loss to the Lady Aggies.
Freshman infielder Whitney Hall led the WSSU effort with one hit in two at-bats and two RBI. Hall hit RBI singles in both the first and third inning for the Lady Rams. She was one of four WSSU batters to notch one hit each.
Freshman Ashley Boswell (0-4) took the loss in Sunday's game pitching three and one-third innings allowing seven earned runs and notching two strikeouts. Sophomore Amber Shore pitched two-thirds innings of relief with a walk and allowing one hit.
The team will spend most of next week on the road as they head to Florida to face the reigning Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference champion Florida A&M Lady Rattlers in double-header action on Tuesday, followed by another double-header at Bethune-Cookman on Wednesday.
