Final Stats

ELIZABETH CITY, NC - The Winston-Salem State University Lady Rams softball team easily defeated the Lady Vikings of Elizabeth City State University on Saturday morning by the score of 8-1 in the first game of a CIAA softball doubleheader in Elizabeth City, NC.

The Lady Rams jumped out ahead of the Lady Vikings early and never allowed ECSU back into the contest as starting pitcher Amber Shore threw a complete game en route to her third win of the season to improve to 3-7 overall.

With the win, the Lady Rams improve to 3-9 overall (1-0 CIAA) as WSSU opens conference play with a win.

The two teams return to action at 2:00 pm in the second game of the twin bill as WSSU looks for the series sweep.
