Final Stats

ELIZABETH CITY, NC - Behind the strong pitching of Elyon Taylor, the Winston-Salem State University Lady Rams softball team earned a series sweep over the Lady Vikings of Elizabeth City State on Saturday afternoon as Taylor led WSSU to a 9-7 win over ECSU in the second, and final, game of a CIAA league doubleheader.

The Lady Rams, who cruised to an 8-1 win in game one, used hot bats and Taylor's lively arm to earn the 9-7 win and move to 4-9 overall (2-0 CIAA).

Taylor improves 2-2 overall on the season with the win as WSSU closes out their first series of CIAA league softball action.

WSSU returns to action on Sunday, March 12, 2006 at 12:00 pm when they take to the diamond for the first game of a pair of contests versus the Saint Paul's College Lady Tigers in Lawrenceville, VA.
