WINSTON-SALEM, NC - The Winston-Salem State University Lady Rams bounced-back from a two-run, first-inning deficit to defeat the Lady Falcons of Saint Augustine's College 10-2 in six innings on Tuesday afternoon at Southpark Field in the second game of a CIAA softball league doubleheader to move to 8-9 overall and 6-0 in the CIAA (2-0 CIAA West).
Elyon Taylor was the Lady Rams' pitcher of record as she pitched a complete-game, five-hitter as she earned her fourth win of the season to pull her season record to 4-4 overall (3-0 CIAA).
The Lady Rams' most productive inning would be a six-run fifth inning that put them on track to force an NCAA mercy-rule victory in the bottom-half of the sixth inning en route to the 10-2 win.
WSSU was led by Kendall Sutton who was two-for-three at the plate with three RBI's and a run scored.

The victory improves WSSU to 8-9 overall and a perfect 6-0 in the CIAA (2-0 CIAA West).
