WSSU Earns Five-Inning Victory Over Lady Bears In Raleigh, NC

RALEIGH, NC - The Winston-Salem State University Lady Rams softball team won their seventh straight CIAA game on Wednesday afternoon as they easily defeated the Lady Bears of Shaw University by the score of 16-2 in five innings on the road in Raleigh, NC.

 

Winston-Salem State's Amber Shore pitched a complete game as she would go five innings, allowing only two runs, one of which was earned.  With the victory, Shore improves to a perfect 4-0 in CIAA contests, and moves to 4-7 overall on the season.


 

 

 

The win moves the Lady Rams to 9-13 overall on the season and more importantly, improves the Lady Rams to 7-0 in the CIAA. 

 

The two teams return to action at 3:00 pm in the second game of the twin-bill.
