Final Stats

RALEIGH, NC - Another CIAA softball series...another sweep for the Lady Rams, as the Winston-Salem State University softball team won their eighth straight CIAA game on Wednesday afternoon as WSSU defeated the Lady Bears of Shaw University by the score of 11-3 in Raleigh, NC to record their fourth series sweep this season over a conference opponent.

Winston-Salem State's Elyon Taylor pitched a complete game as she would go seven innings, allowing only three runs, all three of which were earned.  With the victory, Taylor improves to a perfect 4-0 in CIAA contests, and moves to 4-6 overall on the season.

The win moves the Lady Rams to 10-13 overall on the season and more importantly, improves the Lady Rams to a perfect 8-0 in the CIAA. 

The Lady Rams return to action on Saturday afternoon at 12:00 PM as they take the field versus the Lady Panthers of Virginia Union University in the first of four CIAA league games that WSSU will play on the weekend.
