The WSSU defense was solid in the game holding Howard to just four hits in the contest. The Lady Rams scattered just four hits in the game notching a pair of hits in the first inning, followed one hit each in the third and seventh innings in the loss. Four Lady Rams went 1-for-3 from the plate in the game.
Both of Howard's fielding errors came on Lady Ram fielding errors, the first in the first inning and the second in the sixth inning. WSSU freshman pitcher Ashley Boswell took the loss pitching six innings and allowing just four hits with six strikeouts and just one walk.
