WINSTON-SALEM, NC - The Bowie State University Lady Bulldogs handed the Winston-Salem State University Lady Rams softball team their first CIAA loss of the season on Sunday afternoon as BSU defeated WSSU 5-4 in a CIAA softball league contest at Southpark Field in Winston-Salem, NC.

 

The Lady Bulldogs jumped out ahead of WSSU and continued on to earn the win to improve to 8-7 overall on the season.

 

WSSU's Amber Shore was saddled with the loss as she pitched a complete game as she was saddled with the loss which drops her to 7-8 on the season and 7-1 in the CIAA.


 

 

 

The loss drops WSSU to 16-14 overall as the Lady Rams fall to 14-1 in the CIAA.

 

WSSU returns to action at 2:00 pm as they face the Lady Bulldogs in the second game of the twin-bill.
