Final Stats

WINSTON-SALEM, NC - The Winston-Salem State University Lady Rams fell in defeat in the second game of a CIAA softball doubleheader to the Bowie State University Lady Bulldogs by the score of 11-7 as BSU earned a sweep of WSSU on Sunday afternoon at Southpark Field in Winston-Salem, NC.

The Lady Bulldogs never trailed in the contest as they completed the first two-game CIAA league softball sweep of the WSSU Lady Rams this season.

WSSU's Elyon Taylor was saddled with the loss as she pitched a complete game as she fell to 7-7 on the season and 7-1 in the CIAA.

The loss drops WSSU to 16-15 overall as the Lady Rams fall to 14-2 in the CIAA.

WSSU returns to action at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, April 4, 2006 as they play host to Fayetteville State University in a softball softball league doubleheader.
