WINSTON-SALEM, NC - The Winston-Salem State Lady Rams (8-25) took an 11-0 loss to the Western Carolina Catamounts (17-22) in game two of the Tuesday doubleheader. The Lady Rams lost the game at the plate notching just three hits while allowing 12 hits to the Catamounts.
A pair of WSSU errors turned out to be crucial allowing five unearned runs in the game. Sophomore Leslie Hollis, senior catcher L'Tisha Bell, and junior outfielder Domica Scott each notched one hit each in the loss. Sophomore Amber Shore pitched all five innings of the loss allowing six earned runs with seven strikeouts.
With the loss, the Lady Rams fall to 8-25 on the season. The team will return to action on Friday when they head to Orangeburg, SC to take on the South Carolina State Lady Bulldogs, whom the team swept in Saturday's doubleheader.
