Winston-Salem, NC - The Winston-Salem State University Lady Rams softball team earned a hard-fought 7-5 victory over the visiting Lady Blue Bears of Livingstone College on Monday afternoon at Southpark Field in Winston-Salem, NC in the first of a pair of CIAA league softball games.
WSSU, who improves to 8-14 overall and 3-7 at home with the win, would be the beneficiary of a complete-game from Shannon Davis as she ran her season mark to one game below .500 at 5-6.
The two teams return to action at 4:00 PM for the second and final game of the twin bill as the Lady Rams look towards a series sweep.
