Winston-Salem, NC - Sweep. That is exactly what the Lady Rams did on Monday afternoon at Southpark Field in Winston-Salem, NC as they handed the visiting Lady Blue Bears of Livingstone College a 10-2 loss in the second game of a CIAA softball doubleheader as WSSU earned an important league sweep.
WSSU, who improves to 9-14 overall and 4-7 at home with the win, would be the beneficiary of another solid performance from Shannon Davis as she ran her season mark to .500 at 6-6. The win was Davis' second straight on the afternoon as she single-handedly swept the Blue Bears.
The Lady Rams will return to action on Tuesday afternoon as they will play host to the Lady Golden Bulls of Johnson C. Smith University in a CIAA softball doubleheader. The twin-bill is slated to take place at Southpark Field.
