Charlotte, NC - The Winston-Salem State University Lady Rams defeated the Lady Golden Bulls of Johnson C. The Lady Rams, who improve to 19-7 overall with the win are inching ever closer to yet another CIAA Western Division softball regular season title as they remain flawless in the division.

The Lady Rams jumped out ahead early as they outscored their hosts 3-1 in the first inning of play en route to the win. The Lady Rams then tacked on two more runs in the third inning and another four runs in the sixth inning of play as they cruised to the Western Division victory.

The Lady Rams scored 11 runs on 14 hits and benefited from the Golden Bulls' propensity to commit errors as the host team booted four defensive plays in the contest.
