WSSU Sits Atop Of CIAA Western Division With The Win

DURHAM, NC - The Winston-Salem State University Lady Rams softball team earned a 4-3 win over their arch rival the North Carolina Central University Lady Eagles in the first game of a pair of CIAA softball doubleheaders in Durham, NC on Saturday morning.

 

The Lady Rams, behind the pitching of ace Amber Shore, earned the one-run win over the Lady Eagles as WSSU continues to sit atop of the CIAA Western Division. 


 

 

 

Amber Shore earned the win as she improves to 8-8 on the season and moves to 7-2 in the CIAA with the win.

 

WSSU improves to 17-15 on the season and moves to 15-2 in the CIAA with the victory.

 

The two teams will return to action at 2:00 pm when they meet in the second game of the doubleheader.
