DURHAM, NC - The word in CIAA women's softball is parity. That parity was evident on Saturday morning in Durham, NC as the Lady Eagles of North Carolina Central University bounced back from a game-one loss to the Winston-Salem State University Lady Rams as they handed WSSU a 10-5 defeat in game two to split a pair of CIAA softball league contests.

WSSU falls to 17-16 on the season and moves to 15-3 in the CIAA with the loss.
The Lady Rams return to action on Monday, April 10, 2006 as they face the Lady Broncos of Fayetteville State University in a make-up of a doubleheader that was postponed from April 4, 2006. The first pitch in the opening game is slated for 2:30 pm.
