WINSTON-SALEM, NC - The Winston-Salem State University Lady Rams softball team earned an easy 8-0 win over the Lady Broncos of Fayetteville State University in the first game of a pair of CIAA softball doubleheaders in Winston-Salem, NC on Monday afternoon.
The Lady Rams, behind the pitching of ace Amber Shore, earned the eight-run win over the Lady Broncos as WSSU continues to sit atop of the CIAA Western Division with only three CIAA losses, one coming in the CIAA Western Division.
Amber Shore earned the win as she improves to 9-8 on the season and moves to 9-2 in the CIAA with the win.
WSSU improves to 18-16 on the season and moves to 16-3 in the CIAA with the victory.

The two teams will return to action at 4:30 pm when they meet in the second game of the doubleheader.
