Lady Rams Top North Carolina Central, 2-1, Snap 16-Game NCCU Streak - WINSTON-SALEM STATE OFFICIAL ATHLETIC SITE

WINSTON-SALEM, NC - It was some clutch play on both sides of the plate that sealed a 2-1 win for the Winston-Salem State Lady Rams (10-26), Saturday afternoon. The Lady Ram needed just four hits to pull out the win, including a pair in the seventh inning to pull out the victory.

The Lady Rams' clutch play highlighted the seventh inning with freshman shortstop Whitney Hall and sophomore first baseman Leslie Hollis getting the third out and setting the table for the Lady Rams' dramatic seventh inning win. Hall would complete the deal hitting a game-winning walk-off RBI single that drove in fellow freshman Tierra Berthau.

Freshman pitcher Ashley Boswell (4-13) picked up the win allowing seven NCCU hits and one earned run in the game. Sophomore pitcher Stacey Greene took the loss for the Lady Eagles (14-6) allowing one earned run on four WSSU hits.
