Winston-Salem, NC - The Winston-Salem State University Lady Rams softball team dropped a 12-7 decision to Claflin College on Friday afternoon at South Park Field in Winston-Salem, NC to fall to 11-18 overall on the season.
The Lady Rams were the victim of five fielding errors in the game, one of which would give Claflin College the four unearned runs which would ultimately prove to be WSSU's undoing.
WSSU pitcher Shannon Davis was credited with the loss in the contest as she pitched yet another complete game, falling to 8-10 on the season overall.
WSSU returns to action on Saturday afternoon at 12:00 PM as they welcome the Lady Eagles of North Carolina Central University for the first of a pair of important CIAA softball league contests.
