The Lady Rams gave up a pair of first inning runs on a wild pitch and a bases-loaded walk. The team gave up another run to the Lady Bison on an RBI double in the second inning to put the Lady Rams behind, 3-0. The team held the Lady Bison scoreless until the fifth inning on an RBI single that left the Lady Rams trailing 4-0.
It was in the seventh inning that the Lady Rams would make things interesting as the team opened the inning with a pair of extra-base hits. WSSU freshman catcher Kayla Woodbury would get the Lady Rams on the scoreboard with a lead-off home run, followed by a double by fellow freshman Whitney Wright. Junior pitcher

As a team, the Lady Rams totaled six hits in the contest. Ramirez led the way for the Lady Rams, going 3-for-4 from the plate with an RBI. Woodbury was 1-for-3 with the home run. WSSU junior
The two teams would square off to complete the doubleheader, following game one.
