The WSSU youngsters continued to shine in the win as the Lady Ram freshmen and sophomores accounted for four of the team's five runs in the win. Freshman Devyn Gillette led off the game hitting a triple in the first at-bat of the game and scored on a throwing error on the very next play. Freshman Lonnie Jones, who drove in the first run of the game, scored the second run of the game when sophomore Kendall Sutton grounded out to third base. Freshman shortstop Whitney Hall drove in two runs in the win, hitting a two-RBI single in the sixth inning that put the game away for the Lady Rams. Senior outfielder L'Tisha Bell capped the game scoring on a passed ball that gave the Lady Rams a 5-2 win in the game.

UMES scored a pair of earned runs with RBI hits in the fourth and sixth innings, but were never able to challenge the Lady Rams for the win.
Another WSSU youngster, sophomore
The Lady Rams will look to keep their strong play going when they head south to face the Norfolk State Lady Spartans in a Sunday doubleheader. The team will wrap up the 2007 season when they face the Bethune-Cookman Lady Wildcats in a senior day season finale at South Park Field next Saturday beginning at noon.
