WSSU Softball To Take To The Diamond On Friday

The Lady Rams Will Open The 2004 Softball Season With Doubleheader Versus Benedict On February 6th And Face Claflin On February 7th

Winston-Salem, NC - The Winston-Salem State University Lady Rams softball team will open the 2004 season on Friday, February 6th, 2004 in Columbia, SC as they face their first opponent of the year when they take on Benedict at 2:00 pm before heading to Orangeburg, SC the following day to take on Claflin.

The Lady Rams, fresh off of a 21-11 campaign in 2003 and a CIAA Western Division regular-season title will look to open the season with a pair of wins on the four-game road trip. The Lady Rams will face Benedict at 2:00 pm on Friday in game one of a scheduled doubleheader.

After two games versus Benedict, the Lady Rams will travel to Orangeburg, SC where they will meet Claflin on Saturday for two more games.

The Lady Rams, who return six starters from last season will be under the direction of second-year head coach LaTaya Hilliard-Gray.
