Lady Rams to Face South Carolina State in Saturday Doubleheader - WINSTON-SALEM STATE OFFICIAL ATHLETIC SITE

WINSTON-SALEM, NC - The Winston-Salem State Lady Rams (6-23) will find themselves in a bit of a dogfight when they face the South Carolina State Lady Bulldogs (2-27) tomorrow afternoon. The Lady Rams and Lady Bulldogs will meet up in an afternoon doubleheader at South Park Field.

The Lady Rams will head into the doubleheader with a bit of momentum after winning two of their last four games and will look to keep their strong play going. Facing the Lady Rams, however, will be a hungry South Carolina State team that has struggled mightily this season winning just two games thus far. The Lady Bulldogs last tasted victory on March 17^th when they topped the Maryland-Eastern Shore Lady Hawks, 11-0.

Leading the way for the Lady Rams will be freshman pitcher Ashley Boswell, who leads the team with a .349 batting average. Freshman Devyn Gillette and sophomore Kendall Sutton currently share the WSSU lead in RBI with nine each this season. Across the field will be a young South Carolina State team, led by junior catcher Tifanie Lewis, who leads the team in both batting (.312) and RBI (9).

The Lady Rams and Lady Bulldogs' doubleheader is set for a 1:00 p.m. start at South Park Field. Admission to both games is free.
