Winston-Salem, NC - WSSU Head Softball Coach Lataya Hiliiard-Gray and her Lady Rams will return to the friendly confines of Civitan Park on Saturday morning as they play host to the Lady Blue Bears of Livingstone College in a CIAA softball league doubleheader beginning at 11:00 AM.
Civitan Park, which has been unplayable as of late due to severe rains which prompted WSSU to move a pair of games to Southpark Field last weekend, has dried out and will be the site for Saturday's Lady Rams versus Lady Blue Bears matchup.
WSSU, who is 7-14 overall this season, is riding a two-game win streak as they earned a pair of wins in Raleigh, NC versus Saint Augustine's College on Tuesday.
The opening game's starting pitcher is slated to be Shannon Davis. Davis, who has come on strong as of late, started both games on Tuesday, earning the win in the first game before pitching three solid innings in the second game, en route to a no-decision.
Game one of Saturday's doubleheader begins at 11:00 AM. The second game will follow behind the first with a 30-minute intermission between contests.
