WINSTON-SALEM, NC - Home field will look great for the Winston-Salem State Lady Rams (15-15) as the team has played eight straight games on the road. The team's road woes will end, Saturday when the team hosts the Bethune-Cookman Lady Wildcats (13-30) at South Park Field. The Lady Rams will look to end some recent offensive struggles when the team returns home this weekend.
Heading into Saturday's doubleheader, the Lady Rams have run into some offensive struggles, scoring just two runs in their last three games and have not scored more than one run in six of their last seven games.
The Lady Rams have been dominant at home this season with a 9-3 record at South Park Field and are on an eight-game winning streak. Returning home should give the Lady Rams a big boost as the team has scored 100 runs at South Park Field this season and is batting .390. Seven WSSU batters are batting at least .400 at home this season as well.

For the season, WSSU freshman catcher Kayla Woodbury is leading the Lady Rams' offensive attack with a .448 batting average and a team-high 20 RBI. With just four strikeouts this season, Woodbury has gotten off to a great start this season. Junior infielder Desiree Ramirez has also been strong this season batting .366 with 13 RBI. The duo will look to give the Lady Rams a spark and add to the team's 168 total runs.
Across the field, the Lady Rams will face a Bethune-Cookman team that has had their struggles this season. At 13-30, the Lady Wildcats have had their struggles this season, but have been playing well heading into this weekend's games with some momentum. The Lady Wildcats will bring some offense of their own with B-CU freshman infielder Allison Garcia leading the way for the Lady Wildcats with a .350 batting average and 19 RBI. Senior infielder Brandi Holley is batting .308 with 19 RBI as well.
The Lady Rams and Lady Wildcats are set for a 1:00 p.m. start at South Park Field. Admission to the game is free.
