Charlotte, NC - The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association announced its 2004 All-Conference and All-Rookie Teams and Players of the Year as selected by the Softball Coaches Association and four Lady Rams have earned the honor. The Lady Rams place pitcher Heather Davis and center-fielder L'Tisha Bell on the All-CIAA first team while LaKelsha Carney and Shannon Davis were named to the second team, and Bell was named to the All-Rookie Team.

Tiya Hines, of Virginia State University was been honored as the 2004 CIAA Player of the Year, while Clarisse Steans of North Carolina Central University took the 2004 CIAA Rookie of the Year title.

The Western Division Champions, Winston-Salem State University and Eastern Division Champions were also recognized at the Softball Social on Thursday, April 15 on the campus of Johnson C. Smith University.
