WSSU's Amber Nance Named To CIAA All-Tournament Team

April 19, 2004

Charlotte, NC - The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association announced on Sunday that Winston-Salem State University pitcher Amber Nance was named to the CIAA All-Tournament team for her efforts in the 2004 CIAA Softball Championship Tournament.

Nance helped the Lady Rams to an elimination-round victory as she drilled a two-out double that scored Shannon Davis from first base to propel WSSU to a 4-3 win in nine innings.

A senior, Nance pitched her way to an 8-1 record in 2004 and batted .312 on the season in 13 games.
