Davis, a four-year letter-winner in softball, just recently wrapped up her college athletic career as she led the Lady Rams to their fourth-straight CIAA Western Division regular-season title. Davis, who has been the Lady Rams number one pitcher for four straight seasons, is no stranger to the athletic spotlight. She was named the 2001 CIAA Softball Rookie of the Year as well as the 2001 WSSU Softball Most Valuable Player. She was named First-Team All-CIAA in 2001, 2002 and 2004 as well. She not only excels on the softball diamond, but displays a level of excellence and maturity off the field. She is the Vice-President of the WSSU Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, is a Chancellor's Scholar, serves on the WSSU Scholarship Loan Committee, is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma and possesses a 3.876 grade point average in business administration. For her excellence, she was named the 2004 Mary Garber WSSU Female Student-Athlete of the Year.
As well, the softball team was the recipient of the Athletic Director's cup which is awarded to the team with the highest overall grade point average, and WSSU softball player Tomekia Ferguson was the recipient of the Chancellor's Cup awarded to the student athlete with the highest overall GPA and at least two years of varsity intercollegiate competition.
