WSSU's LaTaya Hilliard-Gray Named NCAA Division I Softball Coach of the Year

EDWARDSVILLE, IL - Winston-Salem State Lady Rams softball head coach Lataya Hilliard-Gray earned the 2010 NCAA Division I Coach of Year award for her efforts in leading the young Lady Rams this season. Coach Hilliard-Gray and two other Lady Rams were honored Friday afternoon when the 2010 NCAA Division I All-Independent Softball Team was announced. Joining Hilliard-Gray among the honorees were WSSU junior catcher Kayla Woodbury and freshman infielder Britney Cato. Story.

Lady Rams Close Out 2010 with a Clutch 2-1 Win at Norfolk State

NORFOLK, VA - The Winston-Salem State Lady Rams (9-27) closed out the 2010 season in style with a 2-1 road win over the Norfolk State Lady Spartans (14-28), Sunday. The win saw the Lady Rams display some strong efforts on both sides of the ball with some clutch hitting and stellar defense to take the one-run victory. Story.

Lady Rams Fall to Norfolk State in 12-4 Road Loss

NORFOLK, VA - The Winston-Salem State Lady Rams (8-27) couldn't find an answer for the Norfolk State Lady Spartans (14-27) in a 12-4 loss in the second game of a Saturday doubleheader. The Lady Rams kept the game in reach for much of the contest, but could not rally after an eight-run fourth-inning effort by the Lady Spartans. Story.
