WSSU Women's Tennis Falls to Queens University of Charlotte

 

The WSSU Lady Rams women's tennis team dropped at 7-2 decision to Queens University of Charlotte on Friday.

Carmen Grady and Devan Corpening won points for the Lady Rams in singles matches, as Grady won 6-3, 6-4 over Paige Earnest and Corpening won by default.

The Winston-Salem State Lady Rams' Kayla Carter and Kalin Jarvin dropped doubles matches to Christin Rustschee and Erin Williams (4-8); Dominique Lindsay and Taylor Harris fell to Morgan Roberts and Amanda Poole (2-8); and Carmen Grady and Devan Corpening lost to Farina Rafiq and Paige Earnest (1-8).

In singles competition, WSSU's Kayla Carter fell to Christin Rustschee (0-6, 1-6); Kalin Jarvis fell to Morgan Roberts (2-6, 1-6); Dominique Lindsay fell to Amanda Poole (0-6, 1-6) and Taylor Harris fell to Farina Rafiq (0-6, 2-6).

Winston-Salem State will wrap up the fall season on Wednesday, when they travel to Athens, WV to take on the Mountain Lions of Concord College.
