WSSU Lady Rams Pound the JCSU Lady Golden Bulls, 8-1

CHARLOTTE, NC - The WSSU Lady Rams tennis team handled their business on Monday afternoon, beating the Golden Bulls from Johnson C. Smith, 8-1 in Charlotte, NC.

In doubles competition, WSSU's Sloane Holmes and Kayla Carter beat Khadijha Barnes  and Rankin Anderson, 8-5, while Bianka Locklear and Kalin Jarvis beat Keiara Love and Samantha Barnes, 8-3. Taylor Harris and Carmen Grady lost to JCSU's Felicia Akande and Nichelle Heard, 8-5, as the lady Rams took the doubles points in match.

In singles, Sloane Holmes defeated Rankin Anderson, 8-4; Kayla Carter beat  Keiara Love, 8-3; Bianka Locklear beat Felicia Akande, 8-1; Kalin Jarvis beat Khadijha Battle, 8-4; Taylor Harris beat Nichelle Heard, 8-2; and Carmen Grady beat Samantha Barnes, 8-3.

With the win, the WSSU lady Rams move to 3-3 on the season, 3-1 in the CIAA.
