Lady Rams Stay Hot for 5-0 Win Over Virginia Union

LINCOLN, PA – The Winston-Salem State Lady Rams (7-4, 6-1 CIAA) kept their momentum going when the team posted a 5-0 shutout win over the Virginia Union Lady Panthers (4-5, 3-2 CIAA), Saturday afternoon. With the win, the Lady Rams take their second straight Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) shutout win.

The Lady Rams got things going early with 8-1, 8-0, and 8-1 wins in doubles play. The senior tandem of Bianka Locklear and Kalin Jarvis set the tone with an 8-0 doubles win. The team went on to close out the win with junior Dominique Lindsay taking an 8-0 singles win and Locklear closing the match with an 8-2 win.

The Lady Rams will return to action tomorrow when the team closes out the CIAA Round-Up with matches against host Lincoln (Pa.) and Virginia Union.
