    WINSTON-SALEM, NC – By approval of the NCAA Division II Management Council, Aja Grant, has been appointed as the newest Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association representative to the NCAA Division II Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC). Aja Grant, is a rising senior on the women's tennis team at WSSU. Grant is from Winston-Salem, North Carolina and is the daughter of Tim and Vicki Grant.
  • Rams' Season Ends With 5-0 Loss to #1 Chowan in CIAA Semifinals

    BOWIE, MD – The Winston-Salem State Rams (11-10) gave a valiant effort, but the team did not have enough to overcome the top-seeded Chowan Hawks () in the semifinal round of the 2017 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Women’s Tennis Championship Friday. The effort marked the second straight season that the Rams have reached the semifinal round of the championship tournament, but the team could not get past the top-seeded Hawks.
  • Rams Advance to CIAA Semifinals with 5-1 Win Over Johnson C. Smith

    BOWIE, MD – The Winston-Salem State Rams (11-9) got things going the right way, Thursday when the team took a 5-1 win over the fifth-seeded Johnson C. Smith Lady Golden Bulls in the quarterfinal round of the 2017 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Women’s Tennis Championship Tournament. The Rams clicked on all cylinders to take the quarterfinals win and advanced to the semifinal round of the tournament for the third straight season.

  • Rams Take a 7-2 Win Over Fayetteville State for Third Straight Victory

    WINSTON-SALEM, NC – The Winston-Salem State Rams (9-9, 7-4 CIAA) closed out Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Southern Division play the right way when the team took a 7-2 win over the Fayetteville State Lady Broncos (3-9, 3-9 CIAA), Friday afternoon. The win was the third straight for the Rams who close out division play with a 5-2 record and in second place in the division.

    SALISBURY, NC – For the second time this week, the Winston-Salem State Rams (8-9, 7-4 CIAA) got a key Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Southern Division win when the team took a dominating 9-0 win at Livingstone (1-14, 1-13 CIAA), Thursday afternoon. The win marked the second in a row for the Rams and helps to secure the Rams’ hold on second place in the division.
  • Rams Take a Critical 6-3 Win at Johnson C. Smith

    CHARLOTTE, NC – The Winston-Salem State Rams (7-8, 6-4 CIAA) played one of their best matches when they needed it as they battled their way to a 6-3 road win over the Johnson C. Smith Golden Bulls (5-13, 5-6 CIAA), Tuesday afternoon at the Coleman/Cuthbertson Tennis Courts in Charlotte, N.C. The win was a critical one as the teams near the finish of the regular season and both teams playing to gain position in the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA).

With the win, the Rams claim their fourth straight victory and completed a sweep for the Rams at the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Round Up.

Playing their second straight match without senior Gabrielle Lindsay, the Rams found points hard to come by in the tough loss.

The Rams could not match the firepower of the defending conference champions in the hard-fought loss.
