Rams Roll to 9-0 Win at Livingstone

 

SALISBURY, NC – The Winston-Salem State Rams (8-8, 6-4 CIAA) got back to their winning ways when the team took a 7-0 road win over the Livingstone Blue Bears (1-11, 1-9 CIAA), Thursday afternoon. The Rams took the win behind one of their top performances of the season.

The team began with a pair of impressive wins in doubles play.  The duo of senior Aja Grant and freshman Avion Harris led the way with an 8-1 win at #2 doubles before junior China Brown and senior Alexus Morgan closed out #1 doubles with an 8-3 win.

The Rams kept things going with five wins in singles play. The Rams took 6-0, 6-0 wins in three of the team's five singles matches with Morgan claiming a 6-1, 6-0 win at #1 singles and Brown taking a 6-4, 6-2 win at #2 singles.

With the win, the Rams improve to 8-8 overall and 6-4 in Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) play. The team will close out the regular season when the team faces the Blue Bears in a Monday match at 4:00 p.m.
