Final Stats

ELON, NC - Elon University downed the Lady Rams of Winston-Salem State University in women's tennis action on Saturday afternoon in Elon, NC as the Phoenix swept WSSU 7-0 in non-conference play to keep the Lady Rams winless this season (0-5).

The Lady Rams forfeited the sixth singles and third doubles points as WSSU fell into a two-point deficit before even taking to the court.

Benefitting from an early 2-0 lead, the Phoenix held the Lady Rams to three points or less in each of the five remaining matches as Elon secured the match victory and improved to 4-2 on the season.

WSSU returns to action on Saturday, February 24, 2007 as they travel to Buies Creek, NC to compete in a double-header versus both Campbell and North Carolina Central.
