Final Stats

ORANGEBURG, SC - The wait is over for the Lady Rams women's tennis team as Winston-Salem State University earned their first win of the 2007 season on Friday afternoon in Orangeburg, South Carolina with a decisive 5-1 victory over the Tigers of Savannah State University in non-conference women's tennis action.

The Lady Rams earned victories in four of the five singles matches and swept the first two doubles matches prompting tournament officials to forgo the competition of the third, and final scheduled doubles match/

The win improves the Lady Rams to 1-7 on the season as Savannah State University falls to 0-2 overall with the loss.  WSSU returns to action at 2:00 pm on Saturday when they face the Wildcats of Bethune-Cookman College.
