Petersburg, VA - The Winston-Salem State University Lady Rams' tennis team fell to 0-3 in 2004 as they fell in defeat on Sunday to the Lady Trojans of Virginia State University in Petersburg, VA by the score of 9-0.

The Lady Rams failed to win a set in the match as Virginia State cruised to the easy victory.

The lone bright spot for WSSU was the play of Janet Wheeler, who lost the second set of her match in a tie-breaker (6-0, 7-6 [7-4]).

With the loss, the Lady Rams remain winless with an 0-3 mark on the season. They return to action on Sunday, March 14th, 2004 as they will square off against the Lady Panthers of Virginia Union University in Richmond, VA at 1:00 pm.
