Lady Rams Tennis Downed By UNC-Asheville Bulldogs - WINSTON-SALEM STATE OFFICIAL ATHLETIC SITE

WINSTON-SALEM, NC - Despite returning home to the WSSU Tennis Complex, the Winston-Salem State University Lady Rams tennis teams dropped a 6-0 decision to the University of North Carolina at Asheville Bulldogs on Sunday afternoon in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

The Lady Rams fell in defeat in the all five singles matches that were contested, and UNC-Asheville captured the double point as they swept the first two doubles matches, rendering the third doubles match unnecessary.

The defeat drops the Lady Rams to 1-11 overall on the season as UNC-Asheville earns their first win of the year en route to improving to 1-6 overall.

The WSSU women's tennis team returns to action on Tuesday, March 20, 2007 at 2:00 pm when they take to the court in Norfolk, Virginia as they face the Lady Spartans of Norfolk State University.
