Winston-Salem, NC - The Winston-Salem State University women's tennis team defeated the Elizabeth City State University Lady Vikings 6-3 on Friday afternoon at the WSSU Tennis Complex to run their string of consecutive victories to three as they appear to be hitting mid-season stride.
The Lady Rams cruised to victory as they won all but one singles match as Elizabeth City State captured their lone singles point in the sixth singles slot.
The Lady Rams then scored their final point of the afternoon at first doubles when the team of Trinette Lewis and Chandra Allen cruised to a victory to solidify WSSU's match win.
With the victory, the Lady Rams improve to 4-5 overall on the season and return to action on Saturday at the WSSU tennis complex as they play host to the Lady Falcons of St. Augustine's College at 1:00 pm.
