Winston-Salem, NC - The Winston-Salem State University Lady Rams tennis team moved above .500 for the first time in 2004 on Saturday afternoon as they improved to 6-5 on the season after defeating the Lady Falcons of St. Augustine's College by the score of 6-3 in the second of two CIAA tennis matches at the WSSU Tennis Complex on Saturday afternoon.
The Lady Rams won all but one of the singles matches and then emerged victorious at first doubles to seal the victory, their second of the day over the visiting Lady Falcons.
With the win, WSSU improves to one game above .500 at 6-5 on the season. The Lady Rams will return to action at 2:00 pm on April 1st, 2004 when they square off against the Lady Eagles of North Carolina Central University at the WSSU Tennis Complex for a pair of league tennis matches.
