Final Stats

HAMPTON, VA - The Winston-Salem State University Lady Rams' tennis team fell in defeat to the Delaware State University Hornets by the score of 5-2 in Hampton, Virginia as WSSU drops to 2-16 on the season.

Delaware State University earned four points in the singles competition as the Lady Rams' Carmen Davis captured a 10-8 pro-set victory at third singles and Ashley Hopper earned an 8-6 pro-set victory at fourth singles. 

Davis' and Hopper's two points would be WSSU's only points of the day as they fell in defeat in three doubles matches en route to DSU's 5-2 match victory.

With the loss WSSU drops to 2-16 overall while Delaware State improves to 2-5 on the season with the win.

WSSU returns to action at 1:00 pm as they face the Bears of Shaw University at the WSSU Tennis Complex on the campus of Winston-Salem State University on Monday, April 2, 2007.
