Winston-Salem, NC - The Winston-Salem State University Lady Rams tennis team fell to 7-6 on the season on Sunday afternoon as they fell in defeat to the Lady Broncos of Fayetteville State University in the first of two CIAA women's tennis matches by the score of 8-1 at the WSSU Tennis Complex in Winston-Salem, NC.

The Lady Broncos swept all but one slot on the afternoon as the lone bright spot for the Lady Rams was at second singles as WSSU's Trinette Lewis defeated Fayetteville State's Annette Jackson in a tie-breaker by the score of 10-8.

With the loss, the Lady Rams fall to 7-6 in 2004. The two teams return to action at 1:00 pm when they square off in the second of two tennis matches.
