Winston-Salem, NC - The Winston-Salem State University Lady Rams tennis team fell back to .500 on the season at 7-7 on Sunday afternoon as they fell in defeat to the Lady Broncos of Fayetteville State University in the final match of two CIAA women's tennis matches by the score of 7-2 at the WSSU Tennis Complex in Winston-Salem, NC.
The Lady Broncos earned seven points in the match as the two bright spots for the Lady Rams were at second doubles and fifth singles as WSSU's Janet Wheeler defeated Fayetteville State's Jamieka McLean at fifth singles by the score of 8-4 and Wheeler and her partner Ashley Hopper crusied to a win at second doubles by the score of 8-1 over FSU's Dana Maynor and Annette Jackson.
The Lady Broncos would earn wins at every other slot and easily hand the Lady Rams their seventh loss of 2004. With the loss, the Lady Rams fall to 7-7 in 2004.
