Winston-Salem, NC - The Virginia Union University Lady Panthers tennis team snuck out a one-point victory by the score of 5-4 over Winston-Salem State University in CIAA women's tennis action from the WSSU Tennis Complex on Saturday afternoon as WSSU fell to 6-6 on the season.
Virginia Union would emerge victorious at the first, second and fifth singles flights, and the first and third doubles flights en route to their match-winning five points. The Lady Rams fell just short of the victory as Ashley Hopper and Janet Wheeler fell in defeat at the third doubles flight to L. Stejskalova and M. Vanakova by the score of 6-8.
