Elizabeth City, NC - The Winston-Salem State University Lady Rams improved to 9-7 overall on the season on Saturday afternoon as they cruised to a 9-0 victory over the Lady Vikings of Elizabeth City, NC at the ECSU Tennis Complex in Elizabeth City, NC in CIAA women's tennis league contest.
The Lady Rams would easily record the victory as they were the beneficiaries of a pair of ECSU defaults at the third doubles and sixth singles flights which gave WSSU two important points.
Those two free points, coupled with point-scoring victories at the other seven flights would propel the Lady Rams to the 9-0 match win.
With the win, the Lady Rams improve to 9-7 overall on the season and move to .500 at 7-7 in the CIAA.
WSSU returns to action on Monday, April 11th, 2005 at 5:00 PM as they play host to Salem College at the WSSU Tennis Complex.
