Charlotte, NC - The 2004 edition of the CIAA Women's Tennis Championship is once again becoming the showcase of Fayetteville State University as the Lady Broncos have advanced to the finals in all six singles positions and continue to dominate play at Hornet's Nest Park in Charlotte, NC.
The Lady Broncos are set to play in the championship of all six singles positions starting at 9:00 am on Saturday morning.
At first singles the Lady Broncos Elohim, the #1 seed entering play will take on Shaw's Enebechi, the #3 seed.
At second singles, the #1 seeded Saudners from Virginia State will take on FSU's Jackson, the #3 seed.
At third singles, the #1 seed Bennett from Fayetteville State will face Riley, the #2 seed from Shaw.
At fourth singles, Maynor from Fayetteville State, the #1 seed will square off against the #2 seeded Pegues from Virginia State.
At fifth singles, McLean, another #1 seed from FSU will take on Richards, the #2 seed from Virginia State.
And rounding out the championship matches at the #6 singles slot Cribb, the #1 seed from FSU will take on #2 seeded Hairtson from JCSU.
In addition to the championship matches, there will be six matches that will determine the third and fourth place finishers as well.
The women's division looks to be a tight race between the Lady Trojans and Lady Broncos as FSU and VSU will meet in championship matches three times on Saturday.
