Final Stats

TALLAHASSEE, FL - The Winston-Salem State University Lady Rams tennis team closed the 2007 season with a 5-0 loss to Florida A&M University in Tallahassee, Florida on Saturday afternoon as WSSU finished the season with a 2-16 overall record.

The Lady Rams dropped the doubles point as FAMU secured victories at first (8-0) and second singles (8-2) to take an early 1-0 lead in the match.  With the sweep of the first two doubles matches, the Rattlers and Rams did not play the third doubles match as it was rendered unnecessary.

The Rattlers wasted no time in securing the match victory as they swept all four singles matches that were contested en route to the 5-0 sweep.

The win improves Florida A&M to 9-9 on the season as they pull to .500 in 2007.  The loss marks the 16^th defeat for the Lady Rams as WSSU closes the season with a 2-16 overall record.
